Lillian Barbara Butler Alleyne, 93, of Neptune, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at home.



She was born in Aiken, SC and lived in Red Bank for over 50 years before moving to Neptune in 1998.



Known to many who affectionately called her “Mrs. A”, she was always pleasant, polite and had a great sense of humor.



She was a toll collector for the Garden State Parkway for 13 years before retiring in 1988.



She was a member of the Tinton Falls Senior Citizens. An avid sports fan, she loved her football and basketball.



She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Herbert Alleyne in 1968.



Left to honor her memory and celebrate her life are her children, Carmen Alleyne of Florida, Gail Anderson of Neptune, Beatrice and her husband Lawrence “Buddy” O'Neill of Neptune, Marva and her husband Lawrence Dizard of Asbury Park, Charles H. Alleyne, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Los Angeles and Michael J. Alleyne and his wife Gail of Neptune, step-daughter, Ramona J.A. Young of Florida, a nephew, William Alexander Steele of Indiana;



20 grandchildren, Lisa Jackson, Mark Wade, Tracy Kimbrough, Joseph Brown, Eric Alleyne, Jennifer O'Neill Melton, Kelli Kimbrough, Cheryl Wade, Tasha Story, Myte' Tracy, Teja Alleyne, Charles Alleyne III, Mychael Alleyne, Reginald Alleyne, Brittney Alleyne;



6 great-grandchildren, Jamaal Brown, Kendall Jackson, Shaquasia Alleyne, Kaelyn Kimbrough, Jared Kimbrough, Amyah Alleyne



5 step-grandchildren, Terence Young, Lillian Dunning, Sharon O'Neill, Traci O'Neill Spencer, Dawn Davila.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 10 am until her funeral service at 12 noon Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Red Bank. Burial will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Scholarship Fund of Calvary Baptist Church, 23 River Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
