Obituary for Laurence Youmans
Laurence (Larry) Youmans 70, of Oceanport, NJ died on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Monmouth Medical Center. He was born on February 25, 1952 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, NJ.
Larry served in the US Navy from January 1970 to January 1974, serving on the USS Lexington. Following his release he went to work for the Department of the Army, Ft Monmouth, NJ as an Item Manager until his retirement.
He was an active member of the Eatontown Elks #2402 for 32 years and Exalted Ruler from 2001-2002. Larry was also a member of the Oceanport Hook and Ladder since 1976 and served as Captain in 1997. He also served as President and was a current trustee upon his passing. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Anna Youmans; brother Charles A. and brother Vincent.
He is survived by his wife Esther; sisters Barbara and Charlene; brother Francis; sisters Patricia and husband Bernie; Michelle and husband William; and brother Edward S and wife Nellie and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, W Long Branch on Wednesday, July 6 from 5pm to 7pm and a Fireman’s Service will take place at 6:30pm.
