Obituary for Judith L Zurick-Delisa

On Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, Judith (Judi) Zurick -Delisa, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at home. Judi was born in Long Branch on March 2, 1941, and made her home in Oakhurst for over 40 years, where she built a life for her family and touched the lives of many.
For over three decades, Judi served the Monmouth County community at the Monmouth County Parks System. As Supervisor of Administrative Services, Judi contributed her time and expertise to improving the experience for those who visited any of the Monmouth County Parks and Golf Courses. Judi’s favorite event was the Monmouth County Fair where she dedicated limitless hours each July showing her unwavering commitment to her work and leaving a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the countless individuals who enjoyed the beauty of the parks she helped manage.
Judi’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan, of Pompano Beach, FL, her son, Chris, and his wife, Cathy, of Wall, daughter Melissa Goldstein and her husband David, of Harmony Twp., as well as her cherished granddaughter, Mikaela Zurick, and adored grandson, Aidan Goldstein. Judi is also survived by her sister Barbara Castles of Millstone. In addition to family, Judi is also survived by her precious cat, Mr. Higgins. She was predeceased by her brother Allan Brighton and her devoted husband Peter Delisa.
Throughout her life, Judi exhibited strength, grace, and a kind heart that inspired those around her. Her warm smile and generous spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we mourn the loss of Judi, we also celebrate a life well-lived and the love that she shared with us all. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, and the lessons she taught us about dedication, love, and resilience will endure.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township.

Judi will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of the parks she loved, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
