Obituary for Joseph J Veizer

Joseph J Veizer, 67, of Toms River passed away on Sunday, June 13 2021.
Joe was born in Lakewood NJ, then lived in Bayville before moving to Toms River as a young adult where he attended and graduated from Toms River High school North. He was a Union member of Local 825 Operating Engineers for over 40 years before retiring in 2020. He was a master at his trade, and always went the extra mile while at work. He was also a proud member of the Bayville volunteer first aide for several years and served as captain. Joe loved working on his beautiful yard and pool at his home of 22 years that he shared with his wife Helen Veizer. Joe enjoyed entertaining his family and grandchildren and spending time with them. He was known to be a wonderful cook and a master of the grill. Joe was a friend to all his neighbors and always was there to help lend a hand when someone needed him. As well as being an avid New York Giants fan, one of Joes favorite past-times was to watch John Wayne movies. Joe will be remembered for his smile and the laughter and stories he brought with him, as well as his many quiet and selfless deeds. He was as known as a fixture in his neighborhood, for not only his beautiful lawn and yard, but also for his Ford Truck that he kept clean daily.
He is survived by his wife Helen with her three sons Russell, David and Daniel alongside his wife Katy. As well as his daughters Kimberly, and Amy alongside her husband John; his four beloved grandchildren Gianna, Isabella, Dominic, and Jace; his mother Joan, his siblings Joanne with her husband Dave, Joy with her husband Matt, and John with his wife Patty. He is pre-deceased by his brother James and his father Joseph. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, as well as his sister-in-law Ginger with her husband Rick, and many other family and friends.
A memorial dedicated to the celebration of Joe’s life will be announced at a later date.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Joseph, you left us with beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
