John P. “Johnny Cag” Aldarelli, 77, of Neptune, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
He was born raised in Asbury Park before moving to Neptune 52 years ago.
He owned 4 J's Sub Shop in Asbury Park for 39 years and was a member of the Sons of Italy and a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Asbury Park. He was an Army veteran.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Jennie Aldarelli, brother, Anthony and nephew, Thomas Aldarelli.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Joan Fornicola Aldarelli; daughter, Jennifer and her husband Andrew Chiurazzi of Ridgefield, sons, John and his wife Paula Aldarelli of Jackson and Joseph and his wife Yolanda Aldarelli of Ocean; 6 grandchildren, Alexandra, Paul, Joseph, John Raymond, Andrew and John Frank; brothers and sisters-in law, Elizabeth “Chickie” Aldarelli, Ted and Chickie Fornicola, Robert and Ceil Fornicola, Ducky and Ursula Fornicola and Fred and Marie Fornicola and many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his friends from the Lunch Bunch as well as caring family and friends who lent their support during the past 2 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday at Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral 9:30 am Friday from the funeral home followed by an 11 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Asbury Park. Entombment will follow at St. Catharine's Cemetery, Wall.
