Jean Patricia Glynn, Allenhurst matriarch, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Jersey Shore University Medical Center on September 27th. Jean was born in Spring Valley, NY to Alan and Kathryn Bagger. She grew up in Deal Park, NJ. She graduated from Asbury Park High School and College of St. Elizabeth. Following college, Jean was employed with the Carton Law Firm in Asbury Park, NJ. She raised her abundant family in Allenhurst, NJ. Jean, a devout Catholic, was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Deal where she served for many years as president of both the Rosary Altar Society and the Cartonian Club. She was a longtime member of the Ariel Club. Her most proud accomplishment however, was that of Mom. She will be sincerely missed by all those who came to know her and whose lives she touched. We are honored to call her Mom, Mom-Mom, Gigi and will be forever grateful for the lifetime of lessons she taught us through her unwavering faith and kindness to all. She is predeceased by her loving husband William T. Glynn, Jr. (1993) and son Joseph (1962). . She is survived by her beloved eight children, William T. Glynn (Caroline), Diane Hurley, Thomas Glynn (Dena), Denis Glynn (Jamie), Timothy Glynn (Tracy), Michael Glynn (Theresa), Sharon Gorman (Frank), and Kathleen Spratford (Glenn). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandson and her loving brother John Bagger (Patricia), Wilmington, DE. Visitation will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 4:00-8:00 PM at Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave, Asbury Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 AM at St Mary's Church, Deal NJ. Interment immediately following Mass at St Anne’s Cemetery. Wall, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Interfaith Neighbors in her name.
