James S. Peters, 79, of Ocean Township, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.
He was born in Long Branch and lived in Oakhurst and Long Branch before moving to Ocean Township 2 years ago.
He was a graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. He was the comptroller at NWS Earle in Middletown, a co-owner of Takanassee Beach Club in Long Branch and a CPA. He loved to surf.
He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia on October 20, 2015; his parents, James and Rhoda Peters and a brother, Chris Peters.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne Peters and son-in-law, Louis Rissland; son, Michael Peters and a sister, Virginia Peters.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 11 am at Glenwood Cemetery in West Long Branch. Arrangements are by the Fiore Funeral Home, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
