Obituary for James Moss
James Moss, 77 of Long Branch, NJ passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019. He was born in Newark, and resided in New Jersey for most of his life, before moving to Florida at retirement. He returned to live in Long Branch in 2010.
Mr. Moss was an accountant with the New York Stock Exchange retiring in 2004 after 20 years of service and was also the proprietor of Jubilee Accounting, LLC in Long Branch. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam war serving in the US Air Force. As a member of Long Branch Covenant Church, he was active in many church activities and was known as someone who would always lend a hand. James was a lifelong NY Yankee fan.
Mr. Moss was predeceased by his parents, James B. and E. Dorothy Moss and his sister Kathleen Patricia. He is survived by his daughter, Leigh Moss, brother, Tony Moss, sister Margaret Ponsi, sister-in-law Yvonne and grandchildren, Kaleb Warren and Naomi McRee, and his five nieces and nephews. James remained close with his his ex-wife Tina Moss up to his passing.
Relatives & friends are invited to a Memorial Service Saturday at 11 am at Long Branch Covenant Church 355 Joline Ave. Long Branch. All other services are private and at the convenience of the family.
