Obituary for Herman V. Chieffalo

Herman V.  Chieffalo
Herman V. Chieffalo, 93, of Oceanport, died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at home. He was born in West Virginia on October 30, 1924. His parents were John and Theresa Chieffalo.
He moved to Little Silver, NJ in 1947 where he married Antoinette Mazzucca and was married for 69 years before she passed away on October 6, 2016.
He served in the US Army during WW II and was stationed in India. He worked for Globe Petroleum in Red Bank, a family business, for many years before retiring. He was a very giving person and loved his gardening and keeping a beautiful lawn. His family was the love of his life.
He was predeceased by his wife, Antoinette; his parents, a brother and his grandson, Stephen M. Morehouse.
Surviving are his three daughters, Terri and Tom Wenner of Oceanport, Debbie and Kevin Hanley of Eatontown and Joanne Morehouse of Oceanport; 9 grandchildren, Thomas Wenner, Tammy Garrett, Tara Wenner, Theresa Young, Laura Hawley, Robert Somers, Greg Morehouse, Christina Silva and Amanda Morehouse; 9 great-grandchildren, Shane, Jake, Danny, Thomas, Charlotte, Isabella, Joseph, Finely and Evan; 2 sisters, Phyllis and Marie; 4 brothers, Jim, Anthony, Sam and John and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am Tuesday at the Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
