Obituary for Harvey E. Johnson Jr.
Harvey (Joe) E. Johnson, Jr., 92, a lifetime resident of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, died on Saturday, October 2, 2021 of natural causes.
He retired from Fort Monmouth after 37 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Navy and an avid fisherman and NY Mets fan.
Surviving are his sisters, Helen Furlong and Judy Benson; son, David Johnson; daughter, Marie Robins; 4 grandchildren and a great-grandson, Bentley Johnson.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1pm at Monmouth Memorial Park in Tinton Falls.
