Obituary for Harriet B Hill
Harriet B. Hill “Grammit”, 96 , a lifelong resident of Eatontown, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 23, 2020. She was born in 1924 at the EC Hazard Hospital inLong Branch, NJ and graduated from Long Branch High School in1941.
Harriet worked at Electronics Associated (EAC) in Red Bank for many years. She served her community for 38 years on the Election Board in Eatontown, She was also a life member of the Eatontown Fire Dept and Eatontown First Aid Squad Ladies Auxiliary, and a 70 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #198 in Freehold. She faithfully watched NASCAR racing and was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. & Jr.
Harriet is pre deceased by her parents Sylvester Fary and Ida M. Ford Fary, her husband Raymond E. Hill in 1984, her sister, Edith Glasgow and her brothers, Robert S Fary, H. Kenneth Fary, George T. Fary and Charles L. Ford. She is survived by her children BetteAnn and husband Jeffrey Child of Oakhurst, Donna L. Smith of Eatontown and R. William Hill and wife Donna J. Hill of Chase City, VA. Also surviving are her grandchildren Chuck & wife Ruth Ann Smith, NC, Melissa S. Bennett, CT, Kristen A. & husband Jerry A. Stone, VA and Heather M & husband Jameal Florence, VA along with great grandchildren William S. Hill, James M. Farmer, Jerry “JJ” Stone, Finley A. Stone all of VA and Vincent & Chelsea Smith of NC.
Relatives and friends may call at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch, NJ on Monday from 11 am to 1 pm and attend Funeral Services at 1 PM. Facial masks and social distancing will be required according to the current NJ Covid Regulations and for the safety of everyone in attendance. The interment will take place in Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport, NJ.
