Obituary for Gwendolyn M Baumann

Gwen (Malloy) Baumann, age 82 of Avon by the Sea, NJ died on August 3, 2021 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born January 12, 1939 in East Orange, NJ to the late John & Joan (Reid) Malloy. She was raised by her loving aunt, the late Catherine Malloy. It was in Piscataway, New Jersey that Gwen and her husband purchased their home and started their family. She raised her boys and created lifelong friendships for nearly 50 years in Piscataway before she moved to Avon by the Sea in 2014. She worked at The Connelly Agency in Avon by the Sea and formerly worked at Coldwell Bankers and AT&T in Piscataway. Gwen was an iconic, one-of-a-kind. A stylish class act, who loved and lived BIG. As an extrovert with an unmatched sense of humor, she was undeniably magnetic. Inevitably, she would draw you in with her energy and charm and leave you in awe of her ability to nail a punch line. She enjoyed spending time with those she cared about whether it was on a beach, around a table or traveling. Her fun filled spirit was contagious and her love of life and positive nature and strength just made life better for all who were around her. She is irreplaceable and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Gwen is preceded in death by her beloved husband the late Joseph J. Baumann, and her longtime partner, Edward Nugent, Jr. Gwen is survived by her four loving sons, who were the light of her life, Ron Baumann and his wife Aliona, Jeff Baumann and his wife Karen, Joseph Baumann and his partner Karl, Chris Baumann and his wife Phyllis Ann, her 8 beloved grandchildren, 6 beautiful greatgrandchildren, her brother Terry Malloy and his wife Marcelene, nephew Eric Malloy and his family, the Hofacker family, her partner Michael Mokris, and daughter in law, Lanna Baumann.
