Gregory Patrick DeFoe, 52, of Neptune City, NJ passed away on January 8, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in South Amboy and grew up in Sayreville, NJ where he met many of his lifelong friends. Greg graduated in 1987 from St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, NJ. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science from Kean University in 1992, he had a successful 30 year career in Logistics Management. Greg was an avid fisherman, loved music, loved to laugh and was devoted to his family and friends. He had a sense of humor and smile that lit up any room and his witty retorts are quoted often. He had an extraordinary ability to draw you in with his charismatic personality that was larger than life. We will all miss him more than words can say. Greg leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years, Elaine; brother, Christopher; father, Joseph; beloved dog Winston (aka: Sweet Baby); and numerous other family members and friends. He is predeceased by his mother Patricia Collins and uncle Clifford Sofield and aunt Maureen Sofield. A visitation will be held at Buckley Funeral Home 509 Second Ave Asbury Park on Thursday  January 13th from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Masks are required. Please practice social distancing.  Mass will be held Friday at Parish of St. Theresa of Calcutta in Bradley Beach at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
