Giuseppe “Joe” Cuppari, 79, of Long Branch, died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.

Born and raised in Panaia di Spilinga, Italy he came to Long Branch in 1965.

He was a communicant of Christ the King Parish of Holy Trinity Church and a member and former treasurer of the Figli di Colombo in Long Branch. He served in the Italian Air Force. Joe worked in construction for over 30 years and enjoyed playing cards and bocce.

He was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Maria Rosa Putruelli Cuppari and brother, Antonio.

Surviving are his wife, Elisabetta; a son, Paul J. Cuppari, many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother here and extended family in Italy.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-6 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch.
