Gerry Mandeville passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Neptune Rehabilitation and Care Center, Neptune after a long illness.
Gerry was a reading specialist and retired from the Matawan-Aberdeen School District in 1996. She cherished her career and all the children she taught during her 35 years of dedicated service.
She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Don T. Phillips, Sr. and Gladys Phillips and her brother, Rev. Don T. Phillips, Jr. in 2003.
Gerry is survived by her 2 children, Tracy Lee Tantum and her husband Allen of Ocean and David Brett and his wife Kathleen of Oakhurst and their father Bud Mandeville of Oakhurst; her dear friend Ann Neylon. She was a loving and adoring grandmother to Casey and Riley. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Barbara Rexon of Silver Spring, MD and Jackie Eckstein of Asbury Park.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 am Monday at Old First United Methodist Church, West Long Branch followed by burial at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity choice. Condolences may be emailed to fiorefh@aol.com and will be received by the family.
