Gerald J. Libertelli age 80 passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Bronx, NY. He raised his family in Middletown, NJ and later moved to Tinton Falls. He graduated from St. Benedicts Prep, Newark, and remained a devoted supporter of that institution. He then went on to Seton Hall University where he received his Bachelors degree as well as his Masters in Business Administration. Gerald was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity while at Seton Hall University. He was President of BOC Gases Credit Union in New Providence, NJ, and was a career banker who loved his work. He also enjoyed being on the water and playing golf, achieving a scratch player ranking. Gerald is survived by his loving wife Jackie Libertelli, two sons; Gerald Jr. (Ft Lauderdale, Fla), Christopher David,(Washington, DC), four grandsons, Jason, Jared, Kenzo, Kohji and one granddaughter, Sophia. Gerald also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Buckley Funeral Home 509 Second Ave Asbury Park is in charge of arrangements.
