George Konopsky, 68, of Edison, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 23, 2015.
He was born in Newark and lived in Irvington, Edison, Howell, San Francisco and then back to Edison.
George was an investment banker at Wafra Capital Partners in New York City since 2006. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Fords.
He was a member of ELFA; an avid scuba diver and instructor; a lover of animals and an outstanding cook.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Serratelli Konopsky.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Helen; daughter, Lisa Konopsky-Matthews and 2 grandcats, Emma and Tang.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 7-9 pm Monday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass 9:30 am Tuesday at the Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach.
