Pop, I always thought I was a tough guy until I saw what you endured over the years. I was humbled and saddened to watch you fight everyday and never give up. You always had a smile or a joke through all the pain I knew you were in. Your Grandchildren Gianna and Nick adored you and they will fondly cherish the years they had with you. I always loved sitting back and watching you talk to your Grandson about the Giants and Yankees! I always remember how much you helped Cindy and I out over the years. It seems like yesterday I remember when you would watch the kids everyday for years when we worked so we could save money on childcare. You would be at my house every morning 7 am sharp and never once complain. I didn't find out until later that's because once we left for work you fell asleep in the recliner and grandma took over the operations. I also know how hard you fought to see Nick graduate high school next year. Even though you won't be there physically he knows you will definitely be there in spirit. It has ripped me up inside that we had to move away and miss so many years together. You were always a man who put family first. Even after I had to move due to my job and take your daughter and grandchildren away you understood and whenever we would visit and I would complain about not living here you would always say in your stern voice Take care of your Family! You understood the sacrifice I made was for them. The day before you left us you said to me you weren't afraid and you knew it was time. You also said you were sorry you didn't do better. Pop I want to tell you that you have nothing to be sorry for. I wish I was half the man you were. Your integrity and resilience has humbled me and I will always do what you asked and take care of the family. I Love You POP. Give a big hug to my Dad, Brother and Uncle Charlie. God Speed!
Your Son in Law~
