Obituary for Frank Pescatore

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden death of our beloved husband, father, Pop-Pop, family member and friend, Frank Pescatore, on December 9, 2022 at age 75.

Born in Hoboken and raised in Little Falls, Frank spent several years in Wyoming before settling in Monmouth County for the last 45 years.

He went to the University of Wyoming and was so proud to be a Division 1 athlete (ask anyone who heard about it!), playing football in the Sun Bowl and Sugar Bowl. He was a 1966 Football Hall of Famer and to this day, loved to recount his football career stories. He was also a professional racquet ball player, instrumental in bringing the sport to the east coast.

Frank’s family takes comfort in knowing the positive impact he had on a vast number of people, including family, friends, business associates, as well as total strangers. He was kind, and so well liked by everyone who knew him, and his memory will live on in them. His is a legacy of personal connections and he had an epic network.

Frank built his careers on that network – from sales, business development, building an international network marketing company, to consulting for the last 20 years in the Renewal Energy industry. Frank was gifted in connecting people, helping over 500 people get jobs over the years. Heaven must have needed someone to help put deals together right now.

To say that Frank was a charismatic, one of a kind, make it happen man is an understatement.

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Maya Angelou
Frank consciously did his best to always make people feel good in his presence.

There is no accolade more important in life than having built a tight knit loving family foundation, and that he did. Being the consummate family man, he cherished his wife, children, son in law, daughter in law, granddaughters, as well as extended family. He was selfless and would sacrifice anything for his family.

Frank was an experience creator who got such joy out of bringing family together for great times. Family dinners, memorable summers in Seaside Park, epic holidays, vacations, pool days at the house, most recently Island Beach State Park adventures, were all possible because of him. A true highlight of his extended family’s life was when he brought 14 members to Virgin Gorda for a wild week in Paradise.

Frank was epic in all of his roles in life. The one that he truly loved and excelled in, was that of being Pop-Pop to the joys of his life, his granddaughters. Treasure hunts, conversations, fun times with him, pool antics, and his family values will forever live in their hearts.

Frank was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Rita Pescatore; his brother Patrick, and sister-in-law, Debra.

Frank is survived by the love of his life, best friend, and loving wife of 42 years, Janice; his daughter Joanna (Jackson Hole); son Evan and daughter in law Emily; daughter Cara and son in law Bill; granddaughters Sage, Violet, and Stevie; nephews Dustin and Christian Pescatore (Graziella); Peter Ghoneim, David Ghoneim (Lucy); niece Seraya Palumbo (Tim); sisters and brothers-in-law Diane and Pat Brophy and Gloria and Sabri Ghoneim; brother-in-law Peter DiGiuio (Svetlana), as well as cousins, extended family, and many dear friends and colleagues whom he so loved.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 16th from 2:00-7:00pm at Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township, NJ 07755. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 17th, at 12:15pm at St. Michael’s Church, 800 Ocean Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
