Frances “Dolly” Critelli, 87, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, passed away peacefully at her granddaughter’s home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Syracuse, NY and lived in Long Branch since 1950 before moving to Oakhurst in 2010.

She was a seamstress at Artlin Mills in Long Branch before retiring. She was a communicant of Christ the King Parish (Holy Trinity Church) in Long Branch.

Dolly was predeceased by her husband, Anthony in 1995, her son, Stephen in 1992, her parents, Dominick and Josephine Varano and 3 brothers, Frank, Dominick and Joseph Varano.

Surviving are her sons, Anthony Critelli, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Long Branch, Lawrence Critelli and his wife, Michele of Long Branch, daughter, Jo-Ann Sylvester and her husband, Lou of West Long Branch; 8 grandchildren, Joseph and his wife, Tamie Critelli, Brian Critelli, Ronnie and his wife, Lori Critelli, Toni-Ann Carretta Martin and her husband, Scott, Tommy Carretta, Andrew and his wife, Anna Critelli and Sean and Ryan Critelli and 7 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Tuesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral service will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home followed by burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch. In leiu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Cystic Fibrosis, 1719 Route 10, Suite 229, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
