Fermina Buenavista Ricasa, 82, of Ocean Township and formerly Rosario, Cavite, Philippines, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021. Fermina was the beloved daughter of the late Martha and Ulpiano Buenavista as well as the cherished wife of the late Esmeraldo Ricasa. She is survived by her loving children, her son Ronilo Ricasa and his wife Divina, her son Elmer Ricasa and his wife Marissa, her son Rogelio Ricasa, and her daughter Esmina Mattia and her husband Kenneth. Fermina was also the dearest sister of the late Felicitas Pareja and her late husband Amado, Melania Bayona and her husband the late Felino Jr., the late Marcelino Buenavista and his wife Benilda, Gloria Abutin and her husband Artemio, the late Carlito Buenavista and his wife Elenita, the late Amelia Lunas and her husband Fernan, and her brother Ulpiano Buenavista Jr and his wife Genelyn.
Fermina was a loving and devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, Don King Ricasa and his wife Dinna, Remel Ricasa, Krisna Buan and her husband Ysrael, Candice Mattia, and Kent Mattia and his wife Mary. Fermina was also blessed with three great-grandchildren Rhaine Dustin Ricasa, Dion Dominic Ricasa, Don Daryl Ricasa, and Yram Krishael Buan. Fermina was a devout Catholic and enthusiastic cook that was known to feed every guest that came into her home. Fermina had a sincere smile and wonderful laugh that could brighten up a room. She made connections with those around her through her smile and laughter, cooking, and worship. She will be sorely missed by those blessed enough to have known and loved her. Visitation will be held at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Rd, Oakhurst, NJ 07755 on Friday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Mass Saturday, 10:30 AM at St. Jerome’s Church, West Long Branch.
