Obituary for Ferdinand "Fred" Cutolo, Jr.
Ferdinand “Fred” Cutolo, Jr., 77, of Ocean Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2023.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Freehold Township before moving to Ocean in 2010.
He was a supervisor at the Trenton Rail Terminal for over 30 years before retiring in 2007.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #346 in Neptune, the Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean (IAATO), a former Fire Commissioner in Freehold Township and volunteer fireman at Independent #1 in Freehold Township. He served in the US Navy. His greatest joy was being a playground aide at the Ocean Township Elementary School.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ferdinand and Bessie Cutolo and a brother, Donald Cutolo.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Barbara; daughters, Marina Dawn Basile (Michael) and Kristin Noelle Vona (C. Joseph Jannetti) and the loves of his life his three grandchildren, Giada Noelle Vona, Madison Joy Vona and Christopher Jorge Basile.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-7 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:30 am Saturday at St. Anselm’s Church, 1028 Wayside Road, Wayside. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum in Holmdel.
