Evelyn M. Venberg, 96, of Eatontown, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at home.
She was born and raised in Long Branch and lived in Berea, Ohio before moving to Eatontown in 1968.
She worked at Macy’s in Eatontown for many years before retiring.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Reformation in West Long Branch and a member of VASA.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald in 1998; her son, Donald in 2017 and her daughter, Sharon Kennedy in 2020; her parents, Carl and Elina Holgerson; brother, Carl Holgerson; sister, Ellen Holgerson; grandson, Brian Taylor and granddaughter, Erin Kennedy.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Taylor and Laurel Venberg; 9 grandchildren, Stephen Taylor, Jason, Shannon, Brandon and Caitlin Ashford, Megan Kennedy, Dylan, Jillian and Madison Venberg and 6 great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Raine Kennedy, Kaila Taylor and Zoe, Kelly and Cameron Ashford.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-7pm Thursday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 992 Broadway, West Long Branch followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetery in West Long Branch.
