Obituary for Ellen Joy Lewis
Ellen Joy Lewis, 76, of Ocean Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at home.
She was born in Teaneck and lived in Ridgefield Park where she graduated from Ridgefield Park High School in 1960. She also lived in Oradell, North Bergen and Tannersville-East Stroudsburg, PA before moving to Ocean 5 years ago. She was very involved in her community including sports associations. Ellen was and active member in the breast cancer survivors group in the Stroudsburg area. Ellen was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.
She was a bookkeeper for NuProducts before retiring.
She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Lewis; her grandson, James F. Lewis III; her parents, Thomas and Jean Oxton; her sister, Eileen Saunders; her brother, Thomas Oxton and her nephew, Thomas Oxton, Jr.
Surviving are her children, James F. Lewis II and his wife Alicia and their daughter, CarliJames Lewis; Jefferey Lewis and his wife Monica and their children, Olivia and Dylan Lewis and 2 sisters, Mona Nelson and Maria Lamendola.
