Edward Mazzacco, 66 , of West Allenhurst, Ocean Township, died Friday, September 10, at home.















He was born in Long Branch and grew up there before moving to West Allenhurst 33 years ago.















He served as tax collector for the City of Long Branch for over 30 years before retiring July 2010. He graduated from Long Branch High School and Troy State University in Alabama. He was associated with the Borough of Allenhurst, and Hollywood Golf Club for over 50 years. He was devoted to his family and his friends and will be sorely missed. He loved playing golf, gardening and spending time with his family.















He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary Perri Mazzacco.















Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Mahan Mazzacco; daughters, Felicia and Michele Mazzacco at home and his aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.















Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Monday at Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 am Tuesday at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Monmouth-Ocean Food Bank, 3300 Route 66, Neptune, NJ 07753.
