Obituary for Edward Concepcion
Edward Concepcion, 87, of Jackson Township, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2022.
Ed was born in New York, NY, and grew up in Harlem before enlisting in the Navy, serving aboard the USS Saipan and USS Tarawa during his 4 years of service. Ed went on to serve in the NJ National Guard for 25 years, retiring at the rank of Sergeant Major in 1994 and was a member of the NJNG Retired Enlisted Association. He worked in telecommunications for several firms including Eli-Lilly, Unilever, and Elizabeth Arden, Inc., retiring from their NYC offices in 1994. Ed, a long time resident of Eatontown, moved to Jackson 5 years ago.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, Jose and Esperanza Concepcion and his daughter, Donna Lynn Concepcion.
Ed leaves behind his beloved wife, Jean, with whom he shared 44 years. He is also survived by his sister Gladys and brother Sam. Ed was a loving father to his children Edward, Jason and his wife, Magnolia, and Cassandra, his 11 grandchildren, Brian, Sean and his wife, Rebecca, Tim, Joseph, Hannah, Abigail, Sean, Lily, Elijah, Louise and Noel, and 2 great grandchildren, Mia and Harper.
Ed was a dedicated and caring husband, brother, father and grandfather. His sense of humor, character and kind spirit will be missed.
