Obituary for Diane P. Hurley

Diane Patricia Hurley (Glynn) passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Kimball Memorial Medical Center on June 10th, 2023. Diane, or “Dede” as many of her friends knew her, grew up on the sunny street of Allen Avenue in Allenhurst, NJ with her 7 brothers and sisters. She would often spend her summers embodying the “Jersey Girl” that she truly was by soaking up the fun in the sun at the Allenhurst Beach Club. Diane was also an active Catholic. She grew up attending regular mass with her parents and siblings at St. Mary’s Church in Deal NJ and always remained devout to her faith. After getting married, Diane became a resident of Colts Neck, NJ, where she became what she considered to be her greatest joy and accomplishment in her life- a mother to her four children that she always affectionately referred to as “her angels”. Diane’s love for her children, across both good and bad times over the years, was an inspiration and a testament to the power of her capacity to love. Though Diane was always a mom first, she also was an active member in the Colts Neck community where she served on the PTA, participated in the many Colts Neck school system events, and was a member of the Clover Hill Playgroup and Colts Neck Polo club. You could often find Diane playing with her children at Dorbrook park, or inside of Delicious Orchards where she was gathering ingredients for her latest clipped recipe.  Diane will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her children- Ryan, Shannon, Griffin and Camryn, her family- William T. Glynn (Caroline), Thomas Glynn (Dena), Denis Glynn (Jamie), Timothy Glynn (Tracy), Michael Glynn (Trisa), Sharon Gorman (Frank), and Kathleen Spratford (Glenn), as well as her many longtime friends (Paul Maino). Diane is predeceased by her loving parents Jean & Bill Glynn.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday June 30th at St Mary's Church, in Deal NJ at 10:30am. Interment immediately following Mass at St Anne’s Cemetery, Wall, NJ.In lieu of flowers please make a donation to either of the following: 1.
