CLAIRE ELIZABETH McCUE- July 2, 1957- July 29, 2022
Claire Elizabeth McCue, a lifelong resident of Long Branch, New Jersey passed away surrounded by loving family and friends on Friday, July 29, 2022.
Claire was born July 2, 1957 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She attended Star of the Sea Academy, Long Branch and graduated from Star of the Sea Parochial Grammar School, Long Branch, in 1971. She graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School, Red Bank in 1975. She graduated from Rosemont College, Rosemont, Pa. in 1979.
Claire was a Technical Editor at various Publishing Houses such as AT&T, Bellcorp, Lucent Technologies, Telos and Lockheed Martin, along with the Telecommunications and Aerospace Industries. She taught Catechism and was a substitute teacher after retiring.
She is pre-deceased by her parents John and Mary Ellen McCue, her sister, Mary Ellen McCue Schulz, brother-in-law Robert Schulz; brother-in-law John Haxby; brothers John Edward McCue and Paul McCue, and nephew Kevin Daniel Savage.
Claire is survived by her loving daughter, Ellen Christine and her granddaughter Gabriela. She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth McCue Savage, Eileen McCue Haxby, brothers: Martin, Charles, and Mark McCue; nieces: Meghan McCue and Aleyna Haxby; nephews: Robbie Schulz, Danny Schulz, Michael John McCue, Jimmy Savage, Brian Savage, Matthew McCue, Connor McCue.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, at Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township from 5-7 pm. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 4, 10 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 101 Chelsea Avenue, Long Branch. Inurnment at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 113 Wall Street, West Long Branch immediately following Mass.
Claire loved children and had so much joy with her granddaughter, Gabby. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital- 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, 1(800)213-6584.
