Obituary for Cecilia Pontecorvo
Cecilia “Cele” Pontecorvo, 97 passed away from complications of a stroke on May 3rd, 2022, in Sunrise, FL. She was born in Avon, NJ, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth D’Agostino.
She was raised in Bradley Beach and graduated from Asbury Park High School and Asbury Park Business College.
She raised her family in West Long Branch, and was a parishioner of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, was an active member of the PTA and Rosary Society.
She was employed by the Borough of West Long Branch as a Court Administrator and was a member of the Monmouth County Court Clerk Administration.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert, her daughter Alicia Ritchey, her son, Robert, and Brothers Samuel, Joseph, and Victor, and Sister Mary.
She is survived by her sons Albert and Philip of Sunrise, FL; son-in-law, Barry Ritchey; sister-in-law Ronnie D’Agostino and many nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-7 pm Wednesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Graveside service will be held at 10 am Thursday at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. In leu of flowers donations may be sent to Trustbridge Hospice, West Palm Beach, FL.
