Obituary for Carolyn T. Stiglin

Carolyn T. Stiglin, 87, Lincroft, activist and entrepreneur, departed this world on February 26, 2018
Born Carolyn T. Hennigan in Brooklyn, in 1930, she established roots in Staten Island as an adult, where she started a large family. Afterward, she pursued a college degree from City University of New York, majoring in psychology. She was active in many organizations while living on Staten Island. This business evolved into a private hotel concierge service, which expanded to all major cities. It was branded “City Seen”. Throughout her pursuits she was known for her fair and ethical business practices. She enjoyed traveling and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. Theater was another great passion for Carol.
Carol worked tirelessly for political action, historic preservation and environmental causes. She was a member of the League of Women Voters, Toastmasters of America, the Staten Island Democratic Association, the Mud Lane Society and the Middletown Democrats.
She will be profoundly missed by the many friends she has made and the lives she has touched along the path of life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Caroline and Louis Hennigan, Gerard Hennigan (brother), Lois Hennigan (sister) and her son, Christopher Stiglin. Surviving her are her daughters, Paula Ramos, Michaela Kalff (Bill Kalff), Colette Lane, her sons, Peter Stiglin, (David Whitman), Luke Stiglin (Robin).
