Bridget R. DiMarcantonio, 73, of Ocean Township, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Barnabas Health Hospice, Long Branch.
She was born in Long Branch and lived there before moving to Ocean 48 years ago.
She was a hair stylist before working at Mike & Nellie's in Ocean for 10 years before retiring 6 years ago. She was a graduate of Long Branch High School and Wilfred Academy in Newark and a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Asbury Park. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going to Atlantic City.
She was predeceased by her father, John Acerra, her mother, Margaret DeVivo Acerra Mazza and her step-father, Roy Mazza.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Joseph; daughters, Gina and her husband Patrick Parrino of Ocean and Dana Pontecorvo of Ocean; sister, Mary Jo and her husband Nick Racioppi of Monmouth Beach; grandchildren, Anthony, Taylor and PJ Parrino and Anthony and Gianna Pontecorvo; 2 nephews, Marty and Nick Racioppi; great-niece, Julia Racioppi; aunts, Josephine Marrotta and Vinny Smeriglio and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Thursday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean. Funeral 10 am Friday from the funeral home followed by an 11 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Asbury Park. Entombment will be at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
