Belita (Billie) I. Nelson (79) passed away while resting at home with her best companion, Bunker, faithfully at her side on September 27, 2022. Billie endured the loss of her husband, Arthur F. Nelson, who passed in 2021, but frequently found comfort reminiscing with her family photos and proudly discussing her grandchildren. Billie was always generous to those in need and was partial to rescuing ASPCA dogs. She is perhaps best remembered for her annual Christmas parties, with a true open-door policy for friends, neighbors, and family alike. For fun, Billie might be found every so often at the handle of a slot machine in Atlantic City or playing Mahjong locally with friends. And her homemade cookies were legendary.

Billie is survived by her son Jeffrey, daughter Julie, and stepson Tyler and their families. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local animal shelter.
