Obituary for Arne G. Michelson
Arne G. Michelson, of Wanamassa, Ocean Township, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018.
He was born in Tallinn, Estonia and came to the United States as a young boy living in Brooklyn before moving to Wanamassa 32 years ago.
Arne was a Senior Vice-President of the American Stock Exchange in New York City for 35 years before retiring 15 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church (Our Lady of Hope Parish) in Deal and enjoyed golfing and visiting upstate New York. Family cruise vacations were the highlight of each year for him. His family was most important to him, especially watching his grandson Jack grow up. He was a graduate of Pace University in New York. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Salme Michelson.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Anne B. Michelson; daughter, Kimberlyanne Michelson and her husband Brian Cerruti; grandson, Jack Cerruti; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ellen, Anastos, Peggy and Billy Gallagher and Noreen and Charlie Bebel; 2 nieces, April Bebel and Crystal and her husband Matt Casani and a great-niece, Olivia Casani.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch, Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am Monday at St. Mary’s Church in Deal.
