Antoinette DiGiovanni Sferlazzo, 89, of Monmouth Beach, died Friday, September 21, 2012 at Meridian Nursing & Rehab, Shrewsbury.



She was born and raised in Newark and moved to the Jersey Shore in 1960 living in Long Branch. She loved the Jersey Shore, the beach and the pool.



She was predeceased by her husband, Angelo in 1998, her parents, Jerome and Maria Paino DiGiovanni, sister, Carol Mongiovi and brothers, Frank, John and Joseph DiGiovanni.



Surviving are her sons, Arthur and his wife Lauren Sferlazzo of Monmouth Beanch and Philip Sferlazzo and his wife Stephanie Galli of Hollywood, CA; brother, Angelo DiGiovanni; 3 grandchildren, Samuel, Adam and Michael and 3 great grandchildren, Kyle, Casey and Luke.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-6 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am Monday at the Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach followed by burial at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
