Obituary for Anthony J. Powalie
Anthony J. Powalie, 76, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
He was born Jersey City and lived in Sayreville, Perth Amboy and Highland Park before moving to Point Pleasant in 1973.
He was a communicant of St. Martha’s Roman Catholic Church in Point Pleasant and was very active with veterans’ organization and a member of the American Legion in Point Pleasant. He was a veteran of the US Army.
He was an electrician by trade.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Marie Powalie and sisters, Marie and Susan.
Surviving are his daughter, Amanda and her husband William Weil; grandson, William Weil; former spouse, Rosemary Powalie; brother, Gerard Powalie and sister, Patricia Figueroa.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am Saturday at St. Bernadette’ Roman Catholic Church in Parlin. Burial will follow at Forest Green Cemetery in Marlboro.
