Obituary for Annie L. Hunter

Annie L. Hunter, 78, of Long Branch, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Valdosta, GA and resided there before moving to Long Branch in 1961.
Mrs. Hunter worked as a parimutuel clerk at Monmouth Park Race Track, Oceanport for over 25 years and retired in 1996. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Long Branch where she served as a Deaconess, choir member, nurse’s aide and usher. She was also a member of the Order of Calanthe Harmony Court #14 of Long Branch.
Mrs. Hunter was predeceased by her daughter, Diane Dent; her parents, Jim & Sular Williams and 10 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Willie; sons; James Dennis, Yahya Kamau, Taalib Abdur-Rahman & Jonathan Hunter; her daughters, Carolyn Dennis, Faye Dennis, Sonia Dennis, Valerie Huff (Joe) & Twanna Cesare (Robert) and a special son-in-law, Jeffrey Lee along with 23 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Second Baptist Church, 93 Liberty Street in Long Branch on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 10 until her funeral services at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
