Obituary for Alex J. Roberto
Alex J. Roberto, 92, of Eatontown, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
Born in Newark, he resided in Newark before moving to Eatontown in 1965.
He was a mason for Fitzpatrick Construction in Tinton Falls before retiring 27 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church in Eatontown and coached Little League and Pop Warner Football. Alex served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Marmo Roberto in 2014; his parents, Michael and Josephine Roberto and his son-in-law, Dennis Gaynor.
Surviving are his children, Mary Ann Gaynor, Rick and his wife Rita Roberto and Robert Roberto; his sister, Arlene Russomano; 9 grandchildren, Shawn, Keith, Christopher, Samantha, Michael, Nicole, Natalie, Alex and Juliette and 5 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-7 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am Saturday at St. Dorothea’s Church in Eatontown followed by entombment at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport.
