Albert F Koenig Jr, born October 20th 1948, passed away on May 26th 2023. Albert is survived by his younger brother, Thomas R Koenig, sister-in-law Sabine, nephew Zachary, and niece Margot. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1970, and went on to receive his masters degree at Oklahoma State. In 2010, Albert retired from St John Vianney high school, where he happily served most of his career teaching English literature. Albert was also a guidance counselor and very proud of the fact that many of his students would stay in touch long after they graduated. Albert’s greatest achievement was touching the lives of so many and preparing them for their professional careers. Albert had two passions in life. Teaching, and nostalgic Broadway. Albert was a personal friend of Ethel Merman, Lucille Ball, Mary Martin, the Maguire sisters, Kate Smith, and many more of that era. He will be deeply missed by friends and relatives. He is now reunited with his beloved mother and father at St Catherine’s cemetery. May he rest in peace.
