Obituary for Anne J. McLaughlin
Anne J. McLaughlin, 93, of Wayside, formerly of Kearny, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she immigrated with her husband and children over 58 years ago to Kearny and later to the Jersey Shore.
Anne was a retiree of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of Newark and West Hudson Hospital of Kearny. She was a long time member of the Scotch and Irish Club’s of Kearny. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family and cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included knitting, going to the beach, walking the boardwalk, and attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She will always be remembered for her love of Caramel Frappuccino with extra caramel.
Anne was predeceased by her parents, William and Sarah Kane; her husband James of 34 years, and her siblings Mary, Sadie, Willie, Margaret, and George.
She is survived by her daughters Anne Kozdron (Milton) of Manchester and Susan Calabro (Philip) of Wayside. She is survived by her cherished grandchildren David, Kyle, Alexys and Alyssa and great-grandchildren Adrianna and Timothy. Surviving are her sisters Susan Lore and Maureen Evans, along with many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life will be at a time to be determined.
