Obituary for Mildred "Merle" R. Peloso

It is with great sadness Mildred R. Peloso, age 84, of Long Branch/Oceanport passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 in her home. Born in Newark, New Jersey to Rocco and Mildred Russomano, she graduated from Barringer High School then Kean College, where she received her Degrees in Education. “Merle” worked her entire career as a teacher and administrator in the Newark Public Schools District and pursued her passion as a fine artist in retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Frank of 63 years and her beloved family of whom she could not have been prouder: children, Karyn P. and her husband Craig S. Farrell and Robert A. and his wife Elizabeth Lawrence Duggins Peloso and most cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Jane, and Rocco Farrell and Margaret Peloso Martin. Relatives and friends remember her with love, fond memories, and happy smiles.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8pm Wednesday at Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10am Thursday at Precious Blood Church in Monmouth Beach. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport .
