Obituary for Vincent "Winky" D. Vetter

Vincent “Winky” Vetter, 77, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.
He was born in Bayonne and raised in Jersey City. He moved to Oakhurst in 1972.
He was a laborer for Local Union #325 in Jersey City before opening Parrot Subs in Long Branch when he moved to Oakhurst. He later returned to work at the Cement and Demolition Union before retiring.
He was a communicant of Christ the King Parish at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Long Branch.
Winky was predeceased by his son, Christopher Vetter; son-in-law, Richard DelPriore; grandson, Anthony Grande, Jr.; parents, Anthony and Nora Vetter; and siblings, Ruth Engle, Betty Nolan and Robert and Raymond Vetter.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Ann Marie Tremamunno Vetter; daughters, Maria DelPriore and Dominick Nittolo, Andrea and Samuel Martucci and Claudine and Anthony Grande; his 3 grandchildren, Christopher Grande and Bianca and Samuel V. Martucci; siblings, Jean Ganter, Joanne and Vincent Conticello, Lois Faddy, Corine Kavanagh, Joseph and Valerie Vetter and Theresa Kelty and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 am Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch.
