Christos Gavalas, 84, of Tinton Falls, died Saturday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
He was born in Greece before coming to the United States living in Tinton Falls.
He was a painter before retiring and a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean Township.
Surviving are his godchildren, George Tsakiris and Ariana Taylor.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until his funeral service at 9:30 am Tuesday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean Township. Burial will follow at St. George’s Cemetery in Neptune.
