Obituary for Vincent Fiore

Vincent J. Fiore, 80, of Ocean Township, died peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2016 surrounded by family and dear friends. Vinnie was born and raised in Long Branch where he lived until he moved to Oceanport in 1979. He and his pre-deceased wife, Mary Lou Fiore, founded the Fiore Paving Co. Inc. in 1977. Vinnie often could be found visiting Fiore Paving job sites, proudly showing the work of his family, talking with Sharon in the office and sitting near the fireplace at the shop with his twin brother, Eddie. He was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch. He was also an Army veteran and served in Germany. Vinnie enjoyed spending his winter months in Palm City, Florida for the past 30 years. He has owned race horses, Rocketfuel and Fury’s Angel. Vinnie enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.

He was a devoted father, husband, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law and good friend to many. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Mary Lou Fiore; his parents, Angelo and Carmella Fiore; his sisters, Rose Ratti and Ann Oliverio and his brothers, Samuel, John, Angelo, Stanley, Benjamin, Fred and Richard Fiore.
Surviving are his devoted wife, Roberta; his children, Maria, Vincent and wife Deborah, Robert, Joseph, and Gina Fiore; his step-children, Carrie Farro, Michelle and husband Richard Bruno and Gary and wife Alexandra Farro; his grandchildren, Vinnie, Mary, Michael, Nicholas, Nikki, Remi, Bobby Jr., Payton, Reese, Gary, Michael, Olivia and Felicia and his great-grandson, Rayyan as well as his twin brother, Eddie Fiore.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-8 pm Tuesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral 8:30 am Wednesday from the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport.
