Susan M. Gizzi, 61, of West Long Branch, died peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born and raised is Long Branch before moving to West Long Branch 35 years ago.
She was a communicant of Christ the King Parish at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Long Branch. Susan was a past president for 8 years of the ladies auxiliary of IAMA and past president of the Stanley Nichols Pediatric Ward at Monmouth Medical Center, both in Long Branch
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Helen Camassa.
Surviving are her husband, John; son, Michael; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Jeannie Camassa; sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Lou Manzi and 3 nephews, Christopher Manzi and Frank and Anthony Camassa.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road in Oakhurst. Funeral 8:30 am Monday from the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Long Branch. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in West Long Branch.
