Ida Clemente, 85, of Ocean Township, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
She was born in Teramo, Italy. She came to the US in 1951 living in Camden, Newark and Passaic before moving to Ocean 51 years ago.
Ida worked at ShopRite in West Long Branch for 30 years before retiring.
She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in West End, Long Branch.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Giovanna D’Ottavio.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 66 years, Peter; 4 daughters, Joan Pharo, Patricia Green, Bernadette Kozlowski and Janet Adams; sister, Regina Martucci; 7 grandchildren, Jason, Anthony, Dominic, Sarah Anne, Angela Anne, Richie and Mikey and 5 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am Monday at St. Michael’s Church, West End, Long Branch. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Neptune. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Comboni Missionaries, 1318 Nagel Road, Cincinnati, OH 45255.
