Joseph Colonna, 90, of Ocean Township, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015.

Born in Mola di Bari, Italy, he served in the Italian Army during World War II. He came to the United States in 1948 and worked as a mechanical engineer for 39 years.

Joe was predeceased by his daughter, Petrina; brothers, Francesco and Frank Colonna and a sister, Anna Cannone.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 65 years, Clara; son, Silvester and his wife Kathleen; grandchildren, Lisa and her husband Patrick, Daniel, Ashley, Jordan and Joseph;; great-granddaughter, Gianna; sister, Pasqua Lovecchio; sister-in-law, Joan Colonna and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am Thursday at St. Anslem’s Roman Catholic Church, 1028 Wayside Road in Wayside. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum in Holmdel.
