George H. Galatis, 69, of Neptune passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Long Branch before moving to Neptune 2 ½ years ago.

He was a graduate of Long Branch High School and owned the Starburst Restaurant in Belmar from 1974 to 1976. He then went into the construction field before becoming a crossing guard for the Long Branch Police Department.

He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Emma Galatis.

Surviving are 3 sons, Anthony Vozikakis, Brian and Christopher Galatis; daughter, Emily and Jay Frieday and 2 grandchildren, Anthony and Alex.
