Obituary for Debra Pescatore

Debra Pescatore, 64 of Interlaken, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2015 after a two and a half year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She chose to leave us and join her husband on his birthday.

Born Debra McNab in Clifton on August 15, 1950, she grew up with her parents Duke and Grace, and brother, Alan in Little Falls. At age sixteen, she met and fell in love with Patrick Pescatore, her husband to be. They married on May 2, 1971, and were later blessed with twin sons, Christian and Dustin.

During her life she and her husband built a successful interior design company, Pescatore Design Inc. and were featured in prestigious publications such as Architectural Digest. After Patrick’s death in 2003, Debra reopened DP Interiors Inc. and grew her company to be one of the top ranked designers in Design NJ.

Debra will always be remembered for her love of food, fantastic cooking, and brining family together for the holidays, as well as a love of the Jersey Shore. Some of her favorite past times were summers at the Allenhurst Beach Club, reading countless books, and spending every possible hour with her loving boys and biggest fan – her dog, Presley.

Debra is predeceased by her husband, Patrick, father LaRue "Duke" McNab, mother Grace McNab, and the woman who taught her most about Italian cooking, Grandma Rose Olandesi.

Debra is survived by her loving and devoted sons, Dustin and Christian; her brother. Alan McNab and wife Linda; her brother-in-law and friend for 50 years, Frank Pescatore and wife and friend Janice; her nieces, Cara, Joanna, and Erin; her nephews Evan, Adam and Sean; her father and mother-in-law, Anthony and Rita Pescatore; a wonderful extended family with whom many holidays were spent; and loving supportive friends who will all miss her dearly.
