Maria C. Tovar, 98, formerly of West Long Branch, died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Trump Nursing Home in Jamaica.
She was born in Colombia. She moved to New York in 1971 and to West Long Branch in 1973.

She was a communicant of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church in West Long Branch and the West Long Branch Senior Citizens.

Surviving are her son, Carlos Quiroz of Brooklyn; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 11 am to 11:45 am Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway in West Long Branch. Funeral Mass will be offered at 12 noon Friday at St. Jerome’s Church in West Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport.
