Debbie DiMauro, 59, of Tinton Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 after a courageous two year battle with breast cancer.

She was very proud to let you know that she was born in the Bronx. For the past 28 years she lived in Tinton Falls with her husband Tony.

They have been married 38 years and raised three wonderful children, Christopher of Tinton Falls, Brielle of Asbury Park and Lindsay Morin of Birmingham, MI. who is married to Patrick Morin and have three beautiful children, Madeline, Jack and Alexandra.

She was predeceased by her father Jim Waite. Surviving are her mother, Maureen Waite, mother-in-law, Rosalie DiMauro, and her two sisters Terry Scholtz and Joan Marie Mohring, her brother Jim and their families, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sal DiMauro and Diane Butler and their families.

She was a graduate of William Paterson College and received a Masters degree in education from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Debbie was a Special Education teacher for 10 years at St. Dominic's Catholic School in Brick where she loved to teach her 4-6th graders and where she was equally loved by her students and staff. She was a graduated of William Paterson College and received a master's in education from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

She was a member of the Long Branch Covenant Church since 1991.

Deb loved to read Irish novels that were thousands of pages long. Often times she would be lost in one of her books for days on end.

She loved to walk the boards between Avon and Spring Lake always looking out at the wonderful expanse of the ocean.

Deb and Tony traveled throughout the world and truly connected with the peoples of Scotland and Ireland. She was a wine enthusiast and loved making homemade wine.

She was one of the nicest people one could ever meet.

Above all else Deb loved the Lord her God. She fought the good fight, finished the course and kept the faith. We will all miss her.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Friday and Saturday at the Long Branch Covenant Church. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday in the church followed by burial at Monmouth Memorial Park in Tinton Falls.
